Attn: Hey Actors!
BEGINNING APRIL 8, I’LL BE TEACHING ANOTHER CLASS DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE MOST COMMON CONCERN AMONG ALL ACTORS TITLED “ACTING WITH CONFIDENCE” AT CASTING and CLASSES, TIMES SQUARE ARTS CENTER, 300 W 43rd. visit site at www.CASTINGSnCLASSES.com
The acting world is in a state of flux, with competition tougher than it’s ever been, especially on the East Coast-this is largely due to, like so many things today, MONEY.
A: Production budgets in some cases are smaller
B: More and more casting and production is being done locally in Canada, S.C., Bolivia(!), South Africa, etc.
C: The pool of actors looking for work in the NY area still consists of thousands of talented, experienced actors.
What does all this mean to you, you ask; well, I’ll tell ya. It means that we actors have to be more committed than ever to being as fully prepared as possible when we do get that audition whether it be for the director, agent/manager or casting director. This means honing our skills to the point where we are able to stand out from all those other actors who want to steal OUR jobs.
More later…
